Jiří Bém, stammt aus Tschechien und erlernte den Beruf des Tischlers bevor er ein Restaurierungsstudium in Brno abschloss. Im Anschluss absolvierte er ein Bachelor- sowie Masterstudium im Bereich Konservierung und Restaurierung von Holzobjekten an der Fachhochschule Potsdam. Neben der Tätigkeit als Freiberufler beschäftigt sich seine Arbeit mit dem Ziel bestehende Problematiken in der Restaurierung durch die Erfindung von Technologien zu optimieren oder zu lösen. Die für die Restaurierung entwickelte BÉM-CLAMP erschien 2014 auf den Markt.
Ein Jahr später beschäftigte er sich in seiner Bachelor- und Masterarbeit mit der Verbesserung von Leiminjektionstechnologien. Das Ziel war es, den Leim durch möglichst kleine Öffnungen zu injizieren. Die daraus entwickelte STENO-INJEKTION erweitert die Möglichkeiten der Leiminjektion in die Holzkonservierung erheblich und ist seit 2019 als Produkt erhältlich.
Jiří Bém comes from the Czech Republic and initially learned the profession of carpenter before he completed a restoration study in Brno. Afterwards completed a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the field of conservation and restoration of wooden objects at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. In addition to working as a freelancer, his work is concerned with the goal of optimizing or solving existing problems in the restoration by the invention of technologies. The BÉM-CLAMP, which was developed for restoration, was launched in 2014 and has all the features necessary for working with historical objects. It represents a completely new tool in this area.
A year later, in his bachelor’s and master’s thesis, he dealt with the improvement of projection technology. The goal was to inject glue through openings as small as possible. The resulting STENO-INJECTION significantly expands the possibilities of glue injection into wood preservation and is available as a product since 2019.
Mgr. Dominik Matus, DiS
Dominik is new to the team and is responsible for sales outside of the German-speaking area, for presentation on social media and research.

Dominik originally trained as a cabinetmaker in Bystřice pod Hostýnem, the historic center of bentwood furniture production established by Michael Thonet (today TON). He later continued his studies in Brno in the field of conservation and restoration of wooden objects, and subsequently earned a master’s degree in art history with a focus on Baroque woodworking and ecclesiastical furniture.
Today, he teaches conservation theory at the same institution and works professionally in the research, conservation, and restoration of artworks—particularly furniture and other wooden objects.
MA-Rest.(FH) Maria Paul
Maria Paul stammt aus Quedlinburg und absolvierte ein Bachelorstudium in dem Bereich Konservierung und Restaurierung von gefassten Holzobjekten an der Fachhochschule Erfurt. Daraufhin folgte ein Masterstudium an der Fachhochschule Potsdam in der Spezialisierung Konservierung und Restaurierung von Holzobjekten.
Sie ist seit 2020 fester Bestandteil von dem Team der Steno-Injektion.
